Assumed the role of Strategic Design Lead for three interconnected missionary products spanning Android, iOS, and web platforms. Engaged directly with product owners and department directors to showcase roadmaps, timelines, and design prototypes.
Collaborated directly with the Missionary Portfolio solution manager, leading an initiative to improve design processes. This resulted in increased design team productivity, enhanced strategic planning and research, and a more efficient design throughput, ultimately reducing overall costs.
Worked directly with development and project leads ensuring that ongoing work was prepared, scoped, and designed. This proactive approach reduced development time and minimized questions and issues for developers.
Researched and implemented a new information architecture, along with regular improvements for the Churchβs iOS app, used by 450 Mission Leaders. This effort contributed to a global increase in total app use to 90%.
Initiated and led a multi-year redesign for the international mobile Android app used by over 70,000 of the Churchβs missionaries for daily activity scheduling and reporting. Shared responsibility for strategic vision and direction.
Regularly iterated through interaction design improvements, creating wireframes and prototypes for research purposes and for regular presentations to stakeholders and developers.
Conducted ongoing user research for all projects to validate business and design decisions and identify new design needs.This ensured that our design solutions were user-centric and met the evolving needs of our user base.
